Germany February 2013: Stop and Smell the Cologne

The Koln Cathedral has been a work in progress since 1248.  It is a World Heritage site which if you are keeping score is the third World Heritage I have even seen and the second featured on my blog.  If you aren't keeping score no big deal go back to checking out the pictures.

Eau de Cologne is from Cologne.  4711 is the building number used for Glockengasse during French occupation in the early 19th century.

Invader strikes again with some awesome Space Invader style art.  More to come!
"Dropped Cone" installation on the Neumarkt Galerie Building reminds me a bit of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

TJ Maxx is TK Maxx in Germany.  Cats and dogs living together!
Da da da da Invader!
A cool map of Cologne is on the ground near the cathedral.  I guess you could take a picture and use the map while you sightsee.
Lovely Cologne was almost bombed out of existence during World War II and I'm glad that it wasn't.  Cologne is a testament to loving your hometown and preserving it's beauty for future generations.
